Large moth ring. Rainbow moonstone copper ring
Electroformed copper ring with moth and rainbow moonstone, various sizes
This design has been made with the electroforming technique which allows electricity to grow a thick layer of metal over any surface, creating a beautiful raw texture. This texture is a formation that is unique during every single process, so every piece is in fact, one of a kind.
Copper will naturally tarnish when exposed to air and water, you can polish it with many households products, from bicarb, vinegar or even toothpaste. If your piece has a black patina though, we recommend to not polish it if you would like to retain this colour (some pieces even turn a beautiful blue!) The “green skin” effect can sometime occur if the metal is in contact with moisture, but this is completely unharmful.
Copper has been worn on the body for centuries and it's believed to be beneficial for the wearer. It is also known as the lucky metal, as well as the healing metal. As a conductor of energy, when used with earthly crystals it intensifies their properties.
Properties of Rainbow moonstone:
"It has been worn as an amulet to bring good emotions to the wearer, while protecting those of a sensitive nature.
Moonstone is a very personal stone. It is a reflection of the person who owns it. It does not add or detract, only shows how it is.
Moonstone is an excellent stone to use in meditation to understand oneself. Placing it in the moonlight of a moon reaching its fullness, not a full or waning moon, can revitalize it. This is a particularly good gemstone for women.
Moonstone is used by healers to stimulate the functioning of the pineal gland and balance internal hormone cycles with nature's rhythms"
